Testing offered
Testing should have a purpose.
Not just be another thing to buy.
I always start with you: your history, your concerns, your goals, and any health information you already have. If it makes sense, I might suggest a test to help guide our conversations and your plan.
Testing is never required, and plenty of women don't need it.

How I think about testing
Information, not answers.
Functional labs are at-home tests that look at patterns in how your body is working. They can give us helpful context. They can't point to one single root cause.

What it can tell us
Patterns worth talking about, plus a starting point we can compare against later.
What it can't
It can't diagnose a condition, and it won't automatically explain your symptoms.
Not all tests are equal
Some tests are better studied than others, and I'll be upfront with you about the limits of each.
When it needs a doctor
If a result calls for medical attention, I'll tell you and give you a letter to share with your physician.
The foundational labs
The labs I'm trained to use, and their limits.
Every kit ships to your home with easy instructions. You won't need all of them, and many women need none. I'll walk you through each result in plain language.

Stress and Hormone Profile Saliva
- What it measures
- Your cortisol at four points during the day, plus DHEA, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin, and SIgA.
- Why I might suggest it
- To see your daily stress rhythm and general hormone patterns alongside your story.
- What it can't tell us
- It can't diagnose a hormone condition. It's a snapshot of one day, and things like sleep, stress, medications, and hormonal birth control can change the picture. Experts still debate how much weight these results should carry.
Metabolic Wellness Profile Dried urine
- What it measures
- Markers connected to digestion, detoxification, and oxidative stress.
- Why I might suggest it
- To get a general sense of patterns around digestion and how your body handles waste.
- What it can't tell us
- These markers are indirect and not specific to any one cause. They can't diagnose a gut or liver condition, and the research behind them is limited.
Mucosal Barrier Assessment Fingerstick blood spot
- What it measures
- Markers related to your gut lining and histamine, including zonulin, histamine, and DAO.
- Why I might suggest it
- When digestive symptoms or food reactions are part of your story.
- What it can't tell us
- The research on what these markers mean for any one person is still developing, and some of it is debated. Results can't diagnose a condition.
GI-MAP Stool
- What it measures
- The DNA of bacteria, yeast, parasites, and other organisms in your gut, plus markers of digestion and inflammation.
- Why I might suggest it
- When ongoing digestive concerns are part of your story.
- What it can't tell us
- It detects DNA, which doesn't always mean an active infection. For many organisms there aren't well-established healthy ranges, so results need context. Some findings may need follow-up with your doctor.
MRT Food Sensitivity Test Blood
- What it measures
- How your immune system reacts to a panel of foods and food chemicals.
- Why I might suggest it
- To give us a starting point for an elimination and reintroduction plan.
- What it can't tell us
- It isn't a food allergy test and can't identify allergies. Its accuracy isn't as well established as standard allergy testing, so I treat it as one tool, not the final word. If you've ever had a severe food reaction, please see an allergist.
These labs are educational tools. They don't diagnose or treat any condition.
Pricing
Testing is separate from coaching.
Functional lab testing is purchased separately from coaching. I recommend tests one person at a time, and costs vary depending on which ones we choose.
We'll talk about why, what it can and can't tell us, and what it costs before you decide anything.
How testing works

Talk it through
We decide together whether testing makes sense for you, and what it would and wouldn't tell us.
Agreement and intake
You sign your service agreement and fill out your health history and intake forms. I order your tests once everything is back to me.
Collect your sample
Your kit ships to your home. You follow the simple instructions and mail it back to the lab.
Wait for results
For the GI-MAP, results usually take about 3 to 4 weeks.
Review together
We go over your report in plain language, and I give you a letter to share with your physician if anything calls for medical follow-up.
Questions you might have
Do I need testing to work with you?
Nope. Testing is optional, and I only suggest it when I think it would truly help.
Can testing diagnose what's wrong?
No. These labs are educational tools and don't diagnose medical conditions. They give us patterns to talk about, and your doctor is the right person for diagnosis and treatment.
What if my results show something that needs medical attention?
I'll tell you, and I'll give you a letter to take to your doctor. Anything that needs medical follow-up goes back to your licensed provider, and we keep working on the nutrition and lifestyle side alongside their care.
Are you a doctor or medical provider?
No, I'm a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. My work is educational and doesn't diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions or replace care from your healthcare provider.
